Interview with Serena “Aneres” – Testimonial

Let’s hear from Serena (@serenabello), one of the participants, as she shares her experience throughout Breaking The Walls. The project wants to combine mental training and breakdance to improve Gen Z’s well-being across different events in Europe.

Serena talks about the new experiences, friendships, and self-confidence she gained, as well as the opportunity to experience major breaking events and build a real crew with people who share the same dreams.

We get to hear directly from the participants and discover what Breaking The Walls has meant to them, the experiences they lived, and the impact the project had on their journey.

I: Could you introduce yourself and tell us about your experience with Breaking The Walls?

S: Hello everyone, I’m Serena from the Prisoners Crew, and I want to talk about the Breaking The Walls project, which helped me grow so much. It was an incredible experience that contributed to my growth not only technically and mentally in breaking, but also in my everyday life.

I: How has the project helped you grow?

S: The project helped me grow in many different ways. It gave me the opportunity to develop technically and mentally in breaking, but also to grow in my everyday life.

It gave me more self-confidence and allowed me to have incredible experiences, including travelling, making new friendships, and experiencing the breaking world in a way I had not before.

I: What were some of the experiences you had through the project?

S: Thanks to this project, I had the chance to fully experience the breaking world through events such as Check The Style, Outbreak Europe, Albattle, and The World Battle.

Being able to take part in these events was an important part of the experience and gave me the opportunity to experience the breaking world throughout the project.

I: What did the project mean for you as part of a crew?

One of the most important things we built through this project was a real crew. We became a group of people sharing the same dreams and pushing each other to improve every day.

Having people around you who share the same dreams and encourage each other to keep improving became an important part of the experience.

I: Is there anyone you would like to thank?

S: Thank you so much to everyone who made this journey possible. I’m really grateful to everyone who contributed to making this experience possible.
