Meet the staff of Breaking The Walls: @maxmomentum is the organiser of The World Battle (@theworldbattle_urbx), one of the four major events hosting our DMT workshops in 2026. Through multiple sessions held across four locations in three European countries (Italy, Portugal, and Slovakia), the project combines mental health coaching with breaking to enhance young people’s psychophysical well-being. Follow the timeline on our website!
Gillet: What’s up, guys? For Breaking the Walls project, here we are, Gillet, with Pep Guardiola.
Max: No, bro. I’m not Pep Guardiola. I’m Max, Max momentum! I need to put on my cap.
Gillet: Yeah. The people, people like stop Pep Guardiola in the streets saying, “But you, are you max momentum?”
Max: Yeah. That’s what happens every time.
Gillet: But he’s not the Manchester City coach; rather, he’s one of the protagonists of the “Breaking The Walls” project. What is your core business in this project, your main role?
Max: I’m one of the organizers in partnership with Italy, representing Portugal. As the main organizer, my company and my team work together with Enrico and his team to ensure the best experiences for all the kids out there learning breaking.
Gillet: Okay. And your main job in general for the people who don’t know you?
Max: I’m a momentumist. I go with the momentum. That’s been my job throughout my life, taking part in artistic production, sports production, and social solidarity projects. Everything I feel I truly want to embrace and do, I try to give my best to. So, I’m a momentum person from head to toe.
Gillet: Okay. So you added this to the project Breaking The Walls, but what did the project Breaking the Walls give you?
Max: Being able to meet people who share the same passion for doing good things for young people is invaluable. Every time we engage in something positive for society, it reciprocates with positivity and brings meaning to life. That’s what this experience has given me. I am truly grateful to Enrico and Italy for leading this project; it’s a blessing to be a part of it.
Gillet: Okay, last question. Why did you choose hip-hop, or why did hip-hop choose you as a form of self-expression? Yeah.
Max: I suppose it’s something that you can’t explain very easily. It’s a relationship of love, right? Mhmm, it just happens.
Gillet: Yeah. So it’s all about love. Like love could be the main word for the breaking the walls project. Thank you!
